Coupon Shopping!

I just love coupon shopping. I hit the Smith's sale last week and got some great stuff. I can't remember it all but it was something like this:

10-12 boxes of cereal

11 boxes of toaster strudel's- Shayne wanted these :)

32 Sobe life waters

2 24 packs of bottled water

9 boxes of Hamburger Helper

and a bunch of other stuff I can't remember right now.

I spent about $64 out of pocket and saved $93. I also hit Lee's and got some great stuff. I am so glad I have learned how to do this. It saves us a ton of money! And our food storage is over flowing!

LoOk HoW BeAuTiFuL!!!!

This is my father in law's new beautiful baby! Isn't it awesome? I absolutely love the color of it!! Shayne got to take me for a ride in it yesterday. It sounds so good, it has a Corvette engine in it. Pretty freakin sweet hu? It's a '59, and the main reason it's so cool is because it is the same year/style truck my Father in law had when he was dating my Mother in law before they got married. So it's pretty nostalgic for them. These aren't the best pics because they were taken with a cell phone, but it really is a beautiful truck! Now Shayne wants one... Thanks Max! :)

Not much going on...

I don't have too much to blog about, but it's been forever so I thought I'd say hello. We have been having a fun summer. Camping with family & friends, having campouts in the backyard with family. It's been busy, but fun. We are still trying to finish painting the trim on our house, we tried to do it last weekend, but it was rainy. Shayne's brother Kevin got married on July 31st, so that was fun. Last night we went to Keving & Cambria's house to celebrate Cambria's birthday, which is today, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY NEW SISTER IN LAW! WE LOVE YOU! This Sunday is my little brother Matthew's birthday! Only he's not so little anymore. He will be 9! And he is starting 4th grade the next day! That makes me feel so old! He was only 5 when I met Shayne. It seems like just a few years ago that we brought him home from the hospital, I was only 15! Time flies. Anyway, so we are going to Cherry Hill on Saturday for his party. On Friday we have a campout with Shayne's family, but we are not staying the night because I have a primary activity in the morning and then my brother's party, and then on Sunday we are having a family dinner for his birthday. So this weekend will be way busy, but it should be fun. Also Shayne and I are planning a trip to Las Vegas for my birthday/our 4th anniversary (they are only 3 days apart) at the end of September. The main reason we decided to go is because they have a CC's Pizza there and Shayne hasn't eaten there since his mission (over 5 years ago, holy cow!) since they are mostly in the Eastern half of the Country. So we are excited for that. And he has always wanted to go to the Hoover Dam so we will do that too. So we are just busy and having fun. Still trying for babies. I'm seeing a specialist in Sandy now so hopefully we will have some luck soon. I will keep everyone posted on that. Well... that's about all I can think of for now, see ya!

It'S aLmOsT RoDeO TiMe!!!

I love the Ogden Pioneer Days celebration and rodeo! I was born in the city, but I am a bit of a country girl at heart. I am particularly grateful to be able to celebrate this holiday to remember the sacrifice made by the pioneers for us to live in this beautiful place. Their coming here not only opened up the West, but was a monumental time for the developement of the Gospel. Our beautiful state would not be the Capitol of the entire Church had they not come here, built Temples, and settled this land. I think sometimes with all the excitement summer brings, we sometimes forget the true reasons for the holidays. Celebrating our countries Independence and Freedom is something we should not take for granted. Honoring the pioneers for the sacrifices they made and those who sacrifice for our freedom today is very important. We are blessed to live in such a great nation, and we need to remember those who made it possible, those who defend it and substain our freedom.

Sorry to get all sappy, but it means alot to me, so I wanted to remind everyone. That being said, I can't wait to go to the rodeo this year! Please remember, if you are going to the rodeo, you might as well go on the Tough Enough to Wear Pink night and support the fight against breast cancer. This year they will be honoring a very special someone in our family as a breast cancer survivor at the rodeo, so come for the cause and have a great time! Congratulations Francine, we love you and are so grateful to be able to call you a survivor now. Our family wouldn't be the same without you!

My FaVoRiTe HoLiDaY!!!

The 4th of July is my favorite Holiday besides Christmas. I know it's a few weeks away, but hey I put up my Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving, so I thought I could decorate my blog for the 4th a little early :D I love this time of year, there is so much fun stuff to do. Now if the weather would actually act like it's summer then maybe it would feel more like the 4th of July is only 2 weeks away! PS- the picture of us at the top of my blog is before we got married... I don't run around in tank tops anymore :D
