We had our big 20 week ultra sound yesterday(I won't be 20 wks until tomorrow). And we are so excited to be having a baby girl! That's what we wanted and that is what we both thought it would be. We would have been happy either way, but we are so excited for a girl! The Dr. says everything looks great and healthy and right on track. Even though I was blessed with a lovely cold this week and was up all night hacking up my lungs since I can't really take much for it, I am enjoying this blessing of pregnancy and can't wait to meet our little girl in May (or April) :)

We will miss you grandpa!
Well, just wanted to let everyone know that my grandpa passed away on Sunday night. It was hard to let him go, but it was peaceful and it was what he wanted. He was surrounded by all his family who was able to be there and just sort of fell asleep and quite breathing. He has wanted this for a long time so I am happy that he is able to be with my grandma now. He has missed her so much for the past 5 1/2 years since she died, and none of us thought he would hang on this long. He kept his sense of humor up until the last minute he was awake, which is something I will always remember and cherish about my grandpa. He had the best sense of humor. I was taking care of him over the weekend and he was seeing things that were not there and he kept trying to get out of his chair, which I of course would not let him, because he couldn't walk. This was frustrating him so he asked me if I've ever considered a career as a warden. I just laughed. Another classic example of grandpa's humor. We all love him and will miss him dearly. He was such a great man. I'm glad I have a testimony and know where he is. My grandmother welcomed him with open arms and so did his Father in Heaven. He will be missed. We love you grandpa dan! Anyone who would like to come to the viewing or funeral they will be held as follows:
Viewing- 6pm to 8pm Friday, Dec 10th and Funeral- 2pm on Saturday, Dec 11th both at the North Ogden Lindquist Mortuary on Washington Blvd.

Grandpa Update
I know some people have been wondering what's going on with us and my grandpa these past few days. Here goes- he was taken to ER on Monday with Grand Maul (?) seizures. We already knew his kidneys were failing, but his levels sky rocketed during the past week and they diagnosed him with ARF (acute renal failure) He is not a candidate, nor does he want a transplant or dialysis. He has been ready to go for quite a while now. He has chosen to be taken off all his medicine including insulin (except his Parkinson's meds so he doesn't shake so bad, so he can continue to feed himself for the most part) and just let things take their course. Dr's and research are speculating between a week to a few weeks. Possibly even a month or two at the most, but unlikely especially due to him being off his insulin. It is likely that will take him first before the kidneys. His body will soon start going through withdrawal type symptoms from his meds. He also has heart disease and stroke history and has been taken off those meds as well. This was his choice, and we all knew he wanted that. He told us several times and the hospital that he just wanted to go home and rest until he could see grandma again. He says he will be here for 9 days. We will see. So for now, he can have whatever treats he wants because we are not restricting him to anything and he can just forget about his ailments and enjoy these last few days with us. He was in good spirits and quite alert yesterday, although he is still seeing things that are not there. He is on pain meds when necessary to keep him comfortable, but he has not been in any pain really. He is happy as ever and cracking jokes as usual. However, I think once things start to go, it will happen fast, so we are just enjoying this time with him. He also has medicine there so if he starts to sieze, we can stop it. Due to either his kidneys or his blood sugar he will eventually get more and more sleepy and slip into a coma state and then pass, so either way, it is a peaceful, non-painful death. We love you grandpa, grandma is waiting for you!

17 weeks!
Sorry it's been a while since I've posted. We had our 17 week appt last week and everything looks great. We got to hear the heartbeat and I talked the doctor into doing an ultra sound to see if she could tell the sex of the baby, but the baby would not show us! We have our big 20 week appt on Dec 14th so they should be able to tell us then. I hope so, it's killing me!!!

13 WeEkS & aLL Is WeLL!
We had our doctor's appt yesterday and she said everything looks great. She thinks we are out of the woods as far as miscarriage goes, so hopefully we are. It was such a relief to see it's little heart beat and see it's picture and how much it's grown in 4 weeks. Time goes by fast but when I'm waiting for my Dr.'s appt, it seems to take forever! The pic is so cute. The baby has it's mouth open and it's hand up by it's face. We should get to know what we are having shortly before Christmas, which seems like forever away because we want to know so badly. But I will just be grateful that we are finally pregnant and into the safer part of pregnancy. What a blessing!
